I think I might’ve bought a fraudulent expansion card for Xbox 360. I’m aware it may sound silly, but I can’t find anywhere to put the card into. And I didn’t check when buying it since I thought it was real. I might’ve F-ed up and I’m well-aware if that. Can anybody tell me if Xbox 360 has Microsoft-produced expansion cards? And if they do, where I can put mine into? I have an Xbox 360 E

Sorry you all can’t see the card yourselves but I don’t have media permissions

The expansion cards don't even work on 360. There's no expansion card slot.

Expansion cards only work on series consoles

Xbox 360 did have memory cards, but they were mostly for your save games.
They looked like this.

do you have a link to exactly what you brought?

I have no idea if those cards I showed above actually work on 360e. The design is different and they might not have had the port.

yeah the memory units i fairly sure that only the early models used them'

Totally forgot about those. Especially if op said expansion cards i thought for series consoles

If what you have looks like this, it's for the series consoles. Only.

This is also an Xbox Series product. you can see it's similar, and both are very different from the one for 360.

We wont know til op responds

Mhmm, I just wanted to get some pics in here so they can compare to what they have. OP probably can't post a picture, but they can look at the ones we post.

The suspense is killing me. /j

I was looking for a character holding a heart but couldn’t find one so have that instead

Did you pay a whole lot for it? I still have one of those from back in the old days, but I have no idea if they're expensive now.

spice escarp
#

Not too bad. And hey, if you were ever to get a different 360 console you could use it. Not saying that's worth it.

#

What capacity was it? The size I showed was the size I have but I think they made bigger ones.

You have better options anyway. You can just take a regular USB external hard drive and use that for most 360s as far as I know.

#

But again, I never had the 360e and don't wanna make wild assumptions about it.

Yeah I’ll just use a USB drive if I need to

#

I have an external harddrive but USB would be a good substitute for those if needed

The USB external are most likely better than the swappable 360 HDD. The 360 HDD is what the substitute should be for.

Yeah. It may or may not be possible to get a new hard drive to replace the original storage, but honestly a USB external is gonna be just great.
