Have you checked in Settings > Account > Privacy & online safety > Xbox privacy?

If you are not allowed to change those settings, that means that your account is restricted by a parental account

Uhmm no, they shouldn't be able to if you're 27. But check your Xbox account profile and see that your birthdate is set correctly
