Xbox rewards not working

i have 3,933 rewards points to redeem a 3,000 point card; but it isn't working, and hasn't redeemed for a while now despite clicking the button multiple times. what i mean by this, is, i get no email and none of my points go away. i just press the button to redeem it and it does nothing. what's the solution to this?
