#Dark screen on Xbox Series X?

hey, i just bought a new series x the other day and it was working fine until last night, when the screen on my TV became super dark / barely visible any time I tried using the xbox. It wasn't a problem with the TV because normal tv channels / netflix etc all worked fine.

i tried turning off the xbox and doing the 30 second power button thing but that didnt seem to work. anyone have any ideas?
