There's early access?
seems like every first party game has early access nowadays
It looks promising
As the third project from Compulsion Games, South of Midnight impresses with an eye-catching stop motion style. Unreal Engine forms the basis of what's for now an Xbox Series X, S and PC exclusive, and the good news is that both consoles reap the spoils in decent performance - targeting 60fps. from peeps who have been playing this.. how is it going, any tips for beginning players?
Wondering the same thing Tes
The gameplay is fairly basic, to be honest.
If you're going for the achievements, there's no free roam but there's chapter select at the end.
There's a lot of things to collect and if you miss any you need to replay the entire chapter, so you're potentially doubling your playtime. It's around 15 - 20 hours, so if double that bothers you, follow a guide.
how long are the chapters, ish?
asking so i have an idea if i have to repeat like.. 10 hours or 2 😂
Not too long. Maybe half hour or so?
Hard to say as I've been playing between work things or while chatting in here, so I pause a lot.
Just checked Maka's guide videos and they range from 25 minutes to an hour.
Seems like 30-35 is the average for most chapters, with a couple of longer ones mixed in.
Alright, game is really cool
Game is pretty solid. I'm from Louisiana and it's great to have a game about the culture and folklore from down by the bayou. Good job Xbox 🍾
just started it!
from TrueAchievements:
There is chapter select, the menu shows how much Floof you've collected and how many you're missing, if you've collected the Filament, and the number of Readables you've picked up in each level.
I have to say the game is so unbalanced its really tough, Kind of takes the enjoyment out of it. Shame as it seems a good story but is broken because of the combat system.
Combat is pretty boring and basic imo. I was just playing in the normal difficulty and it was
There's a story mode that completely nerfs combat, if it's a problem
I'm playing on story mode
Yeah I lowered it to Easy just above story mode but below normal. This let you heal more than once in a fight
I've almost finished the game on the default mode, but I'll probably use story mode for those boss achievements. (Although Huggin' Molly should be a much better fight now since the latest patch)
Hello! Game is amazing!
Story and art was good, the gameplay got repetitive and made me want to get over with it fast.
good game! no way imma 100% it though. I'm bad at boss fights lol
I got all the collectables, that makes me happy :)
I'm going to go back and try the boss fights. Only missing those achievements and a couple more. The first two fights seem possible. The third one might be OK if they fixed the "ammo drops."
Played it I kinda like ot
