@torn tendon Thanks for posting! Please remember, support here is volunteer-based and not official. Be patient after posting, and don’t spam or ask in other channels.
If your issue is about accounts, billing, contact Xbox Support directly.
If your issue is related to an Enforcement action, no one here can help.
To help us help you, make sure to answer:
- What did you try to do and what happened? (Be specific—mention your Xbox model, PC version, Insider ring, or anything relevant.)
- **What have you tried to do to fix it already? **(List everything you’ve done to fix it.)
- Have you searched the error code or for similar problems? (Tell us what you found.)
If you don’t answer these, you might not get a response.
Examples of my issue
Only started when I started playing Division 2
I tried re-downloading the game twice. I factory reset my console. I changed HDMI. I changed HDMI ports.
I'm on a series X. I've only had it for a few months and only played it a couple times.
Just looks like the map didn’t load correctly
Doesn't load at all. Like ever. No matter how many times I re-download. On Divsion 1 it's a more notice graphical artifacting.
Have you tried cleaning your mac address ? also have you cleaned the xbox cache ? i am on the same console and play D2, are you gaming on a TV or Monitor ? did you buy the console new or secondhand, no home is dust free it may need to be cleaned out, buy a can of air ! as it may have overheated, i do not think its the mac address but i included that as well, i have seen this black squares before but few years ago
Hold on does it only happen on this game ?
did you delete the save file from your profile as well, because without removing that the problem may still be there
Network settings, including mac addresses, have nothing to do with graphic issues in Divisiin 2
thats why i asked last is it only in that game, was starting to think something else, low internet bandwidth sorry me wrong on the mac address
Yes. That’s looking like hardware failure, but might not be gpu, storage maybe? Where is the game installed, any other games doing the video artifact?
yes other games are doing it. Theyre installed on the normal harddrive
brand new console from amazon. monitor, ive cleaned the cache, deleted local files. Redownloaded the game and factory reset the console.
it happens on every game now
Should be covered by xbox, i always take extra cover on amazom when it runs out of the 12months cover turn around on xbox normal pretty fast my repairs been good from xbox
Normal HDD as in external storage? Try reinstalling the game into the internal storage.
have you tried it on the tv ?
no no, im using the internal one
dont own one
ok no close friends just to try it
sadly no
i use a benq 4k monitor instead of my oled lol
The video recording, is it capture on the Xbox or external card?
? have you calibrated the HDR settings
so just last night while on car x drift i had a shader problem on a white zone on the road surface i did the hard rest and it cleared it..
on the xbox
my monitor doesnt support HDR
right ok then mmm wonder if this would cause it
need more advice is there anyone here to can the hdr be turned off on the series x ?
ok just googled it
Yes, you can turn off HDR on an Xbox Series X by navigating to your console settings, then going to "TV and display options," and within the "Video modes" section, you can disable the HDR setting if your TV supports it
try that other than that send it to xbox
I recommend returning it or sending it for repair. https://support.xbox.com/en-US/help/hardware-network/warranty-service/getting-your-product-serviced
