So, I was using my controller to play a game the other day, and I suddenly realized. RT is fine. It moves down properly, and snaps back up. However, LT requires proper force to press down, and takes a second or two to come back up.

Could this be the cause of a broken component, or is it simply dirty? Either way, I'd assume I need to pull it out in some way to fix it, so how would I do that?

All the info I can give about the controller is it's designed for gaming ( D-Pad is a circle instead of four arrows, and there's better grip surfaces on the triggers / bumpers / handles ), and it's white.
