#Cant connect my Series S controller to PC using a cable

I've tried multiple charger cables, which I've used and have worked before, that now don't. When I plug the USB-c into my controller, it vibrates, but doesn't light up. I'm using Windows 11. Any advice?

You need a cable that can transmit data, not just charge.
First check if you have any other device (headphones, mobile, hard drive, etc.) with which you can check the cables that allow data to be transmitted to the computer.

Once you have verified that this cable allows data to be transmitted, try connecting it to another computer, console or devices along with that controller to check if it is a problem with the controller or a specific configuration of your computer.

Also check if the controller turns on using batteries.

With Windows 11 it should not be necessary to configure anything, I have looked at a mini n100 PC that I do not use to play but I have the xbox app installed, I have connected the xbox controller for the first time with a functional cable, its light has come on and I have been able to navigate the start menu without problems.

How do I check if the cables can transmit data though?
