I went to games and manage storage and there weren't any shrinkable games that were to be cleared
It's saying to power it off for 10 seconds, I did that but the error keeps on popping up
It's saying that no data would continue to be saved
What is the exact error message you are seeing?
If it is the telemetry cache the only ways to clear it would be to go online or to do a factory reset, I think. But since achievement data is stored in the telmetry cache you would lose any achievements that haven't been uploaded.
How long has it been since you were last online?
Everything I boot up the xbox
Let me boot it up and take a photo instantly
Oh wait you were the one who was talking about this in general chat
I see your DM now
Yep
But I thought you said you used your console offline before
Before it was only appearrinh in game
Yea, I'm gonna make it online just for a bit
Oh, that's not the telemetry cache
To see what's up with it, I'm using my mobile data XD that's why I can't spare any
It looks like the local saved data space is full.
Yea it was saying that, any idea on how to clear ir
That's different from cache storage, and it's different from game storage.
I tried clear persistent cache in blu ray settings
I sent you the picture that just apoeared
Unfortunately there's not an easy way to micro-manage local saved game data from an overview sense
Hmm, so would I have to lose my saves?
Well, all save data is synced to the cloud when you're online
Hm
Clearing local save data only removes the local copy and if you start a game in the future it will re-download your save from the cloud.
Hold on, let me boot up my console and see what I'd think the easiest thing to do is
Unless you know of any games you've played that might have big save files and you're not currently playing often
Alright, before I did use my mobile data but it took a lot lol and it sometimes used to say syncing data
Yea Minecraft which is expiring soon BC my gamepass is ending
So there's the "hammer" approach
If you go to Settings > System > Storage Devices there's button called "clear local save data"
That will delete all local copies of saved games. But you can't pick and choose by game.
I would only do this while you're online to make sure that your saves have synced, and then launch the games that you care about playing while offline to make sure that the saves get redownloaded before you go back offline.
Can't I just delete Minecraft
You can do that too. But first
And it would be set? Or it's better to do what's your saying
Go to to Minecraft in your installed games list and press the menu button -> Manage game & add-ons
I already did that and nothing showed up
You should be able to see how much space the saved games are taking up in the third button on the right.
Ok
Saved data, I think that goes to cache no?
You can either choose to delete Minecraft entirely if you don't care about it
Can't care lol
Or you can just click that third button and delete the local save
K, that will clear 340 MB of your saved space at least
Yea im deleting all of it
Plus all the space it's taking up by its install
I wouldn't call it the cache, but there is a limited amount and its separate from game storage. It's not tiny but I don't know the exact number (there are others here who might).
I only got 3 playable games now Lol aC Odyssey, batman Arkham and FIFA 22
Yea isn't it like 32 mbs or depending on the model for desktop CPUs
No, it has to be much bigger than that.
Like I said, this is not a cache, at least not the kind you're thinking of
You're talking about an L2 memory cache in a CPU. This is just a reserved area of a disk for saved games.
@tired terrace i need some help again
I turned on the internet , and ac odyssey wanna update 32gbs of my data
I want to stop update but it's not working and it's saying to uninstall the game
On consoles, cancelling an update uninstalls the game.
;-;
Updates aren’t optional since every player needs to be on the same version
What about my save? It's not letting it open the gamd
then let the game update
I always play on discs offline
the save is in the cloud
I don't have internet its on my mobile data
I use my console totally offline lol
u really dont got a choice if the game is updating
Oh, how about my save
So if I re install AC odyssey
;-; I need wired internet so bad
I think I'm gonna reinstall 😿
well it will work if u stay offline
dont u got wifi?
u may get the same issue if the console goes online again
i always use wifi
There is no guarantee that a save file written with a newer version of a game is readable by an older version.
