I just got a Red5 gaming nova headset that is compatible with xbox series s
But it doesn't work or rather I don't know how to use it.
I'm not hearing nor saying anything.

Does it have Xbox Wireless connectivity?
If not, then you will need a dongle
Xbox doesnt have Bluetooth
I searched for it a little bit and it seems like you need to use a cable which comes with it, to connect to Xbox

Looking at those connections, I'm afraid the USB will only be for turning on the LEDs. But if you use an adapter to join the audio and microphone cables into one, you can probably use both by connecting them to the controller. The adapter may already come with the device.

usb probably doesnt work, only specific headsets work on usb on xbox

Xbox controller has one 3.5 mm port. From the listed connections of the headset (picture provided), there’s usb, and split audio/mic.
