So my friend purchased GTAV (Xbox One & Xbox Series X|S) recently, which comes with GTAV for Xbox One, and GTA Story/Online for Xbox S/X.

The issue is that whenever he tried to install the GTAV (Xbox One) version, he still receives "Sorry, this game or app isn't compatible", even though the game is labeled to be for the Xbox One. I'm not sure why this happens.
The console is an Xbox One S

install it from the gamepass store without the bundle and come back here.

installed the S/X versions obviousily shows the incompatible error code
