Not being able to be heard in vc

Hey I wanted to play a game with my friend but for some reason he isn't able to hear me, we are sure that we have all the settings tuned as they should be and I'm not aware of any possible mistakes I might have made, if anyone knows anything about it or any settings we might have missed please tell me

I'm using the Microsoft Xbox One Stereo Headset S4V-00012 if this helps

(minor thingy but for reason I can't join his world while we both have gamepass)
