#DAC/Amp for Series X

Hello -

I know that the only DAC/amps that work for both chat/audio are the Steelseries gamedac v2 and the Astro mixamp tr.

I don’t require chat. Is it possible to connect a different DAC/amp to the series x usb for game audio only (i.e. Soundblaster). I’ve read conflicting responses. Some say you can while others say you need an hdmi extractor.

Xbox does not support usb audio.

The only exceptions are a small number of specifically designed wireless headsets that include a usb base station and have a “made for Xbox” logo on them

For general purpose audio the Xbox uses hdmi
