Xbox Gamepass Sharing Not Working

I have Gamepass ultimate on my PC
My daughter uses my gamepass ultimate for her xbox (on her own account)
My Fiancé just tried setting it up on hers but as we started to both load up COD it says im already signed in elsewhere and then says shes needs to get Gamepass. Why is this?

In order to game share, you need to sign your account into the console you want to be able to use your games and change that console into the home console for your account.

I did that but still get the same issue - you have have like up to 5 right?

Well, you have 5 changes. So if you game share with your fiancee, you won't be able to game share with your daughter. You can only have one home console at a time.

Those are the sentences that matter, imo. I read the first sentence, but based on how the further two sentences were worded, I assumed his fiancee and daughter both have an XBox.

So yeah they have an xbox each - but when i've read about it online it says you can have up to 5 family members with gamepass. is that just limited to one xbox? i.e do i need to get another gamepass membership?

The family and friends thing was cancelled after the beta period, so that no longer exists. You can only game share with one person, afaik, since the person you're sharing with needs their console set to home console on your account in order to use your game pass.

You can however sign into xbox and PC at the same time with the same account. If the game support xbox play anywhere that can help you out.

well we all play COD and if i sign into the game is says she can't unless i sign in on the xbox so i just need to get another ultimate pass

Set your account as home on the Xbox. Home shares to that Xbox.

Oh. Didn’t realize it was 2 Xbox. Thought they both were playing on the same Xbox.

but OP needs to get game pass of some sort for either daughter or fiance right zero

Yeah, you can't game share to two different XBoxes. You'd need two game pass accounts to be able to have all three of them playing at the same time.

i thought OP only needs one if he already set home xbox for his acct on his daughter's xbox
