For some reason, rocket league is unable to save data. Other games such as Minecraft and marvel rivals work properly, but rocket league seems dysfunctional. The first thing I tried was restarting the console, but to no avail. For details, I use an xbox series S and have a seagate and memory extension installed. The second thing I tried was to move rocket league to internal storage from the seagate. No use, still unable to save data. I then looked up the issue (0x80830003), and google suggested uninstalling a few games, so I got rid of a few games I don’t play. It still shows the pop-up. I have no idea what to do at this point. The pop up says:
“We can’t save more data for this game or app

Your xbox is out of space for saved data. To make room, select a game or app from My games & apps, press the Menu button on your controller, and then select Manage game and add-ons. (0x80830003)”

@tough herald Thanks for posting! Please remember, support here is volunteer-based and not official. Be patient after posting, and don’t spam or ask in other channels.

To help us help you, make sure to answer:
- What did you try to do and what happened? (Be specific—mention your Xbox model, PC version, Insider ring, or anything relevant.)
- **What have you tried to do to fix it already? **(List everything you’ve done to fix it.)
- Have you searched the error code or for similar problems? (Tell us what you found.)
If you don’t answer these, you might not get a response.
I've run into this problem before. I think I solved it by going to Storage under my XBox settings and deleting unused files .. that freed up enough space from the hidden stuff to start saving again.
Can you join a vc? Not sure what to do
Sorry, support isn't offered through VC.
Open the settings menu in your console. Scroll over to Storage. There should be an option there that says something like "Delete leftover files" or something similar.
There is no tab called storage. The closest I could find is “storage devices” under the System tab.
Yeah, that's the one. I'm not looking directly at it right now, so I'm paraphrasing.
That’s fine. There are a few buttons to press, but I think the one that says “clear local saved games” might be the right one. Just checking.
Hm, weird, I know there's another option that deletes things like leftover files from unused DLC, but it's not showing up for me right now either...I've done it before, though, so I'm not sure how to force it to pop up.
Not sure why this is happening though. Rocket league only takes up to 40 gigs, and there’s 111.5 gigs free on internal storage. Weird
I think there's a secondary section for saves, which might be full. That's why I was looking for the thing I mentioned. But deleting all your local saves might help, since everything is on the cloud now anyway, so it won't actually make you lose anything.
How can I tell what games are/aren’t saved on the cloud? I don’t want to lose anything
Everything gets uploaded to the cloud,. so there's no reason to have an option to see what is and isn't.
Got it. Just wanted to make sure, since the pop-up makes it seem like a nuclear button. It says:
“Delete local saved games?
This will delete all the saved games on this console. It won’t remove saved games in the cloud, and they will be synced the next time you play the game. Your console will restart.”
Yes, I know what it says. I think some older 360 games don't have cloud options, but I'm not absolutely sure.
Well, I don’t have any xbox 360 games installed. Press the button?
