Headset “GS401” going through one side

So, I got a headset for Christmas, that being the GS401, and I went to set it up with an adapter to go into the controller. But when the audio is outputted, it only goes into one side.

Only reason I know that is because it has been happening while I’ve been playing overwatch.

I’ve been looking for results for an hour, and have got no dice as all I’ve been seeing is “put it in slowly” or “make sure that mono output is on” so I seriously don’t know what to do.

I’ve tried a troubleshooting method (the controller update) and that hasn’t worked.

Let me know if anyone else has had this issue and knows how to fix it.
