When I attempt to play a game it says "sorry this game cannot be played from external storage" then below it says "to play game name you'll need to transfer it to a storage expansion card or the consoles internal storage" why is this? Im currently on a series S and I have a 1 TB external storage?

A storage expansion card and a usb hard drive are two different things
series s/X optimized games can only play from internal storage or an official storage expansion card that slots in to the special expansion port on the console
Seagate and western digital are the only two manufacturers of these cards
