@radiant flare Thanks for posting! Please remember, support here is volunteer-based and not official. Be patient after posting, and don’t spam or ask in other channels.
If your issue is about accounts, billing, contact Xbox Support directly.
If your issue is related to an Enforcement action, no one here can help.
To help us help you, make sure to answer:
- What did you try to do and what happened? (Be specific—mention your Xbox model, PC version, Insider ring, or anything relevant.)
- **What have you tried to do to fix it already? **(List everything you’ve done to fix it.)
- Have you searched the error code or for similar problems? (Tell us what you found.)
If you don’t answer these, you might not get a response.
Enable File Encryption: You might need to enable file encryption on NTFS volumes. Open Group Policy Editor by pressing Windows + R, typing gpedit.msc, and hitting Enter. Navigate to Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > System > Filesystem > NTFS. Double-click on Do not allow encryption on all NTFS volumes, set it to Not Configured, and click OK.
Run Command Prompt Commands: Open Command Prompt as an administrator and run the following command:
powershell
fsutil behavior set disableencryption 0
Change Storage Destination: Go to Settings > System > Storage, scroll down to Change where new content is saved, and set the new destination to your desired drive. Restart your PC after making this change
Reinstall the Xbox App: Sometimes, reinstalling the Xbox app can help resolve issues. Uninstall the Xbox app from Settings > Apps > Apps & features, and then reinstall it from the Microsoft Store.
Open the Xbox app.
Go to Settings (click on your profile icon and select Settings).
Under General, change the drive where your games are installed to your SSD.
Run the Installer as Administrator:
Right-click on the Xbox app or the game installer.
Select Run as administrator to ensure you have the necessary permissions.
Free Up Space: Consider freeing up some space on your SSD before attempting the installation. Temporary files, previous installations, and unused programs can take up valuable space.
Make sure you’re signed in to the Xbox app and the Store with the same account
When you open the Xbox app on your device, be sure you sign in to the app using your own Xbox account. You may also need to be signed in to the Store (xbox.com) in order to play a purchased game.
To make sure your permissions for the game can be validated, be sure to sign in to both the Store and the Xbox app using the same account that was used to purchase the game.
Remove and reinstall Gaming Services
Reinstall the Gaming Services app on your Windows 10/11 device:
1. Select the Search icon on the taskbar, type powershell, right-click on Windows PowerShell, and then select Run as administrator.
2. In Windows PowerShell, type the following command and press Enter:
get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-AppxPackage -allusers
3. In the same window, type the following command and press Enter:start ms-windows-store://pdp/?productid=9MWPM2CQNLHN
4. Install the app on that page and select Yes when you receive the User Account Control (UAC) prompt.
