#Game clips not working

Its issue made me go insane, i keep missing glorious clips for my videos that my xbox refuses to capture

it only takes pictures

and the game is roblox

and it doesnt let me catch clips ingame

only on the games menu when im not in an actual game

And my xbox one x can take clips + pictures

but my xbox series x doesnt

it may be because of the settings i may have tinkered with on accident but i dont know..

PLEASE HELP ME DAWG 😭

(edit: just to note this my xbox series x used to take clips while ingame in roblox but it just has stopped 😔 )

i have found this odd thing tho when i do try and catch a clip nothing appears but magically the clip appears quietly without notifications at all

just to leave this here for more info about this.

whenever i go to trim the clip (im uninterested into doing so but ive never seen this before)

it says “(Only for clips created on this xbox console)”

Yes, trimming has only ever been available for local clips.

I'm pretty sure this is a widespread issue specifically with Roblox

Which makes me think Roblox may have intentionally disabled game clips during gameplay

When you press the Guide button does it say (X) Record what happened in the list of actions?

Are you on an Xbox One generation console or an Xbox Series X|S console?

What happens if you go to the Capture & share tab of the Guide and click Start recording?

Their support site is very heavily tailored towards PC usage, but they do occasionally mention mobile and console. So it is possible that they simply forgot/didn't mention console on that page, but... at face value recording isn't supported

im on an xbox series x

as ive said originally
My xbox one x can record clips just fine

but whenever i go on my xbox series x nothing appears to work, nor does it notify me, but if im in the menu while on my xbox series x

and if i record a clip itll send a notification telling me it recorded the clip

but not whenever im in a game only when im on the menu.
