#games keep crashing and lagging on used xbox

i just bought this xbox series x off my brother in law and it’s only about 2 years old, i loaded up marvel rivals and it keeps crashing, i have a monitor and my system is running at 120hz i load in for a second and it crashes and sends me to the home screen, it does it on fortnite too it doesn’t crash instantly but it lags until it eventually does, i hard reset everything and cleared my cache and i have two ps5s in my house one new one old and they run perfectly fine, please help

Make sure you’ve factory reset your new Xbox, just to ensure it is all back to normal after the previous owner

i’m gonna put it at 60 hz and see if that works

i even went to the wifi setting and turned on an option that makes it so i have the most bandwidth over my ps5
