Usually blinking means the controller can't find the console, or someone attempted to pair it to something else so it lost association.

I tried paring the controller again

First thing to try is rebooting the console - long press the power button on the front of the console for like ten seconds and wait for it to reboot
And then see if it pairs.

You can also try force re-pairing it by connecting it with a USB cable to the console.
