Ok so basically I have a 1Gb per second ethernet and have connected a cord to my Xbox but when downloading a game I get around 2 mb/s download speed. When in settings test the network speed and Xbox says I get around 600 mb/s. Anyone have any idea what is going on?

Nah I wasn’t running any other games , I switched back to a wireless network and downloaded my game. I just don’t understand why the ethernet runs so slow.

I’d check your router and make sure there aren’t any weird QoS settings
