@inland crypt Thanks for posting! Please remember, support here is volunteer-based and not official. Be patient after posting, and don’t spam or ask in other channels.
If your issue is about accounts, billing, contact Xbox Support directly.
If your issue is related to an Enforcement action, no one here can help.
To help us help you, make sure to answer:
- What did you try to do and what happened? (Be specific—mention your Xbox model, PC version, Insider ring, or anything relevant.)
- **What have you tried to do to fix it already? **(List everything you’ve done to fix it.)
- Have you searched the error code or for similar problems? (Tell us what you found.)
If you don’t answer these, you might not get a response.
What adaptor did you buy
Xbox doesn’t support USB audio (with only like 2 exceptions of very specific wireless headphones that have a “designed for Xbox” logo and specifically say their little base station work via usb with Xbox)
Check the audio mixer. Common issue for “no sound” is because the audio is fully on the party chat side.
An audio jack to USB adapter seems like it would need to be active/powered, so it feels very unlikely what you bought is intended to move data in the direction you want it to. So it would really help to know what adapter you bought.
It’s just a little piece that I can plug the usb in and the 3.5mm audio jack comes out the other side
Then I plug that into my controller
Yea there is no way that’s gonna work with an Xbox controller.
I’m interested to see exactly what it was though if you have a link.
Yea that’s a dedicated connector converter for a very specific piece of hardware and doesn’t do what you want it to do lol
Yep, 90% of listings on Amazon for similar cables for for "UDisk," whatever that is.
Alright this is my last attempt before just buying new headphones
I’m connected to my Xbox Series S rn with my AirPods(via Bluetooth transmitter plugged into controller)
It doesn’t seem like the mic is working so can anyone confirm that the AirPods mic will not work with Series S?
I’m pretty sure some of my friends have done it but it might have been with the Series X
It's more likely to be the bluetooth transmitter you're using... are you sure it's for mic + speaker passthrough?
