#Need help with moving a large amount of files to new laptop

i want to upgrade my study laptop since i need a faster one for my study, is there a simple way to easily tranfer files from my old and current laptop to the new system ? (without an external ssd or microsoft cloud storage) In total i need to transfer around 150 gb. (both OSes will be Windows 11 Home)

using a external hard drive is exactly what this is for

you can use file transfer or bluetooth though I guess but alot easy to just use a external

sadly i dont have an external hard drive at home thats why i asked here :)

If you will have both at the same time you can create a shared folder on the new one and move the files that way as long as they are on the same network

there loads of programs you can use. But you can simply use windows file transfer but too transfer 150gb is likley going too take time

when i moved pcs i just backed everything up into the cloud then just redownloaded on my new machine.

yes but I have enterprise office so dont pay for storage

luckly my new school period just started so i only have to do a few things with the virtual machines
