Controller Completely Unresponsive

My Xbox one (micro USB) wireless controller has unexplainably no been responsive. When connected to battery pack or standard double a batteries controller will not turn on only flash once and become unresponsive, when connected to console by wire the controller will turn on with a bright light then we'll go dim and become unresponsive but will not go off. I have tried every method possible to try to make my controller responsive. I am unable to update the controller because Xbox accessory apps on both console and PC cannot detect the controller. Any help would be really appreciated
