@queen pawn Thanks for posting! Please remember, support here is volunteer-based and not official. Be patient after posting, and don’t spam or ask in other channels.

To help us help you, make sure to answer:
- What did you try to do and what happened? (Be specific—mention your Xbox model, PC version, Insider ring, or anything relevant.)
- **What have you tried to do to fix it already? **(List everything you’ve done to fix it.)
- Have you searched the error code or for similar problems? (Tell us what you found.)
If you don’t answer these, you might not get a response.
what are you trying too do exactly
What platform are you playing on?
I know that many games via cloud streaming require you to have a controller connected to start.
But if you're talking about console, try restarting the console.
Can I send a photo of an example ?
you can upload a screenshot too Imgur or something like that
It will be faster if you tell us what platform you're playing on, and if you have tried to restart the console if that's where you're playing 🙂
I’m playing on series S and yes I restarted it
What game is this? Have you closed the game and opened it again?
From the Xbox dashboard, you can highlight the game, press the Start/Menu button and select Quit. Then launch the game again.
I know some games might get confused if the controller disconnected halfway through the game, or if another controller connects instead.
Because, as a note, games can remain open even when you restart the console, if they support Quick Resume
So quitting the game might help
every time my controller disconnects from the Xbox, when it goes you need a controller for this game (Xbox says it) you press okay and then the screen constantly flickers and the message is burned on the screen, you can still play the game.
Yeah, that sounds like a weird bug. Are you on an Xbox Insiders build by any chance?
Restarting didn’t solve the problem either, and weird thing is when the console was off it was still burned into my screen
But it disappeard when I connected a different console to my monitor
Oh... that sounds like an issue with your TV then
When the console is off, if your TV is displaying that message, that looks like you've had some burn-in
Have you tried restarting your TV? Yes, it's something some TVs can do, separately from turning it off and on again
Yeah I have it’s gone when I turned it on and off but when I disconnected my controller it did the same thing
Some weird bug idk
I mean.... if your TV is still showing that burned message in when the Xbox is off, it's very clearly not an issue with your Xbox. Seems like something got stuck there for some reason.
Sorry when I said Xbox is off I meant when it was turning off
So the Xbox light was flickering, nothing was on screen
But when it fully turned off it was gone
Only thing I could think of is to reset the console to factory settings. Will mean you will have to reinstall your games, but all your save games and whatnot will still be there, if your console is currently connected to the Internet.
But are you on the Xbox Insiders program at all?
