@lost pivot Thanks for posting! Please remember, support here is volunteer-based and not official. Be patient after posting, and don’t spam or ask in other channels.
If your issue is about accounts, billing, contact Xbox Support directly.
If your issue is related to an Enforcement action, no one here can help.
To help us help you, make sure to answer:
- What did you try to do and what happened? (Be specific—mention your Xbox model, PC version, Insider ring, or anything relevant.)
- **What have you tried to do to fix it already? **(List everything you’ve done to fix it.)
- Have you searched the error code or for similar problems? (Tell us what you found.)
If you don’t answer these, you might not get a response.
how are you testing your speed?
is it connected directly to your modem? router? Do you have multiple routers and switches and extenders and stuff?
Have you followed "tutorials" online telling you to make random changes to random network settings?
im testing it through "Test network speed & statistics". I only have one router and im using powerline adapters to get ethernet to my xbox series x in my room. Yes ive seen tutorials online with checking ports but doesn't seem to work.
okay, there you go, powerline adapters are horrible. even the best powerline adapter isn't going to be great.
im trying out a new ethernet wire rn
oh
it is entirely possible that wifi will be faster than your ethernet cable if you are having to use powerline adapters.
so is there any good way of getting ethernet from one room to another if my router is in another room?
physical cables on the floor or an electrician installing in-wall cabling for you
