Hey there, I am trying to change my username (as it has my real name & last name),
I have 2 Xbox profile, one of which that I do not use, is it possible to move my current username to the unused profile and change the main one? I have seen that Xbox offers a free first username change, but idk if it applies on other profiles. Thanks!

why do you want to keep your old gamertag at all? just change it and move on using the new one

your question is confusing... but I'll answer it:

  1. change the name on the account you want to use to whatever you want it to be, this will cost $10
  2. wait awhile
  3. change the name on the account that you do not want ot use to be the name that you used to have on your old account, this will cost $10

of course having multiple accounts always ends in trouble and tears and is definitely not recommended

it can take a couple days for a name to be freed up and able to be used without getting #<numbers> added to the end

having your old name on your alternate account doesn't stop anyone else from using the same name, they'll just have numbers added to the end of it

the "First time change" is free, but that means picking any name during teh creation of your account other than the very first automatic example name that the Xbox UI shows you during new account creation

I changed my gamertag, it does show the new one on the mobile app and website but it still shows the old one on my console, is this fixable?

I tried restarting my console and it still doesn’t show the new one
