hey, i woke up this morning and wanted to play some games on my pc. however when i started the game it was doing some stuff while i wasnt even touching the controller. i decided to open a gamepad tester website to figure out what was going on, and to my horror i found that the options button, the 3 line button, A X Y LB and RB were also being pressed without me even touching the controller. keep in mind i have never opened the controller apart nor is there any visible damage. i tried a software update but no results sadly. also tried to put it into my xbox but couldnt do anything cause it was just inputting buttons over and over.

it happens the controller will need to be replaced
Or sent off for repair if its in warranty
fwiw my non-xbox controller id this over the weekend. my computer just thought half the buttons were being pressed, and it was confused about which button was which (like i'd press 'x' and it would say 'a')
I deleted the controller from my bluetooth device list, rebooted, and re-paired the controller from scratch and it worked again.
but otherwise, yea, what raider said
I plugged it into my xbox console
It went crazy there
It's like somebody was just mashing every button on the controller
can confirm it needs to be replaced
