I tried signing in to my account on my brothers xbox and launched the game perfectly fine, but when I try on my xbox it gives me the error
If your brother bought it then you don’t own it
And you’d be able to play it on his Xbox if he bought it
So I gotta buy the game a second time after buying my own xbox so we don’t have to share a console?

Then unfortunately yes you’ll need to buy your own games / gamepass subscription
