Hello, I have a problem with my xbox controller since yesterday, I'm playing on PC

I don't know if this is the right place to ask but basically, I was playing God of War and suddenly my screen froze and my controller suddenly wasn't getting recognized

Since that happened, for some reason my pc is registering the right joystick as always being pressed

I downloaded xbox accessories and it's basically showing that "RS" is always being pressed

I can't configure the controller in xbox accessories because I need to plug the controller via USB-C but for some reason when I do it's not getting recognized as plugged via cable, only way to connect it is via bluetooth

I don't know what to do, can somebody help please?
I'm honestly wondering if it's not a hardware problem and a connection got burnt or something, my controller is getting old and I fixed it yesterday by hitting it, today it came back and is not working again

Maybe someone had a similar problem

So you haven’t tried restarting your pc?

I did try to restart my pc, the controller, breathing calmly, changing the batteries, trying different cables, checking for driver updates, I tried punching my controller, any insight?

I'm on windows 11, it's an xbox one controller

If not then try uninstalling and reinstalling God of War

I fixed it yesterday by hitting it

that sounds like your controller is broken.

Yes it's not game specific, I downloaded the xbox accessories app just to see what was going on and basically it's saying that the right joystick is always pressed, regardless if I'm in a game or not
