Are you sure the game you’re trying to play supports keyboard and mouse not all do.
Have you tried testing it in the Edge browser app?

the USB ports there is 3
I on the front and 2 on the back

I need to cook dinner now but unfortunately since Microsoft do not service xbox ones anywhere yes your options would be

  1. Use it as it is just not using that port
  2. You could try a USB adapter with one of the other ports this would allow you too plug 2 usbs into one.
