Xbox E100 code (I am mid teardown rn)

I got an e100 code on my xbox one x. it will reach the verification stage on updating and just display the code. every other day it will suddenly work and wont for the next day. idk if its a disc drive problem or a hard drive problem. I HAVE DONE EVERYTHING THE XBOX WEBSITE TOLD ME TO DO, MULTIPLE TIMES EXCEPT FOR STEP 6 FOR OBVIOUS REASONS! The cheapest option i have is to reformat my hdd that some dude on yt used as a solution. but other options say that the disc drive is the issue. my dvd drive jams and doesnt read stuff sometimes but that seems expensive to fix. idk what the solution is cuz not even reddit can help me.
