I have a extension lead and I have had for years. Would this cause fps drops and stuttering. I have to use gaming refresh rate for the stuttering to stop but sometimes playing games don’t feel so smooth like rocket league, can feel quick then way too slow.
Also playing all the day, the Xbox isn’t as hot as I thought it would be

Extension lead? Like for the power cord?
No that will not impact performance
Yeah. Is there a way to fix the performance?
Could be many reasons. Someone might have some ideas
I recently brought this Xbox X about a 2 weeks ago
Performance issues can also be impacted by your internet connection. Packet loss may cause in game stutters that can easily be mistaken for FPS drops. Do you get these issues in single player games?
I have two Wi-Fi connections, one of those connections are connected to the main Wi-Fi router and I use the other connection which is probably a lot slower so could that be the reason?
Yes it could be, I would check out this website and see if your internet is potentially impacted by bufferbloat: https://www.waveform.com/tools/bufferbloat?srsltid=AfmBOooBPfFY6KrX3kw2kpkQ6AXRs3FhYYADKVVKjCamXfyXyypVscvX
Latency:
Upload is 26ms, download +86ms, upload Active +151ms
Is this good or bad?
Did you do the test directly next to the router? Those results are not the best so it is likely that there may be some connection issues at least. If possible maybe try connecting the console under ideal circumstances (wired via ethernet to the main router) to see if you still get the issues. That will help see whether it is actually a connection issue
If I’m playing Fortnite, fps stays on 120 but I can see it moving a lot and sometimes goes to 110 but straight back to 120.
Also when pressing the Home Screen, fps drops to 60 and VRR causes my screen to flicking (white flicker)
What results am I typically looking for?
I believe it’s under +10ms for both download and upload
So upload is what?
The actual download speed/ upload speed isn’t the part of the test that is important in this case. It’s how much added latency there is under load
Oh okay. I’m just curious why my games fps drops so much on games and why my game feels so slow on rocket league
@ocean bough quick question, should I turn on AMD FreeSync Premium? I have this option.
