Hey does anyone know a lot about monitors and hdmi 2.0/2.1 I want to get a oled monitor but it’s a 2.0 and some people on Reddit and forums are saying need 2.1 for 1440p and 120. But others and Xbox support said 2.0 will give 1440p @ 120fps

You need to look into the specific monitor you are interested, read the manual for it and confirm it will do 1440p at 120 Hz over HDMI
