#XBSX very often disconnects briefly

Okay, I'll start with a short yap and say thank you very much and from here I'll try to cut it short.

Problem: I get kicked out of games unwillingly and without and sorts of warning. I can only re-join the game when my Xbox picks up the connections again.

Situation: I'm wired per LAN cable but I have tried WLAN as well, both didn't work. I am using the same router as always and the Xbox has been working just fine ever since I bought it. It only started doing this about 2 months ago.

Proof internet isn't at fault: I have a Series S next to it where my gf plays and she's gaming perfectly fine. As well as my smartphone laptop or other's are complaining. It's only my Xbox Series X with this problem.

Internet specs tested by the Xbox build in feature: about 260mbs download, 30mbs upload, 23 ping, 0% packetloss.

I have tried on the xbox: rebooting the Xbox, hard resetting the Xbox, 100% factory reset the Xbox, set an alternative port on the Xbox

I have tried on the router (Fritz.Box9960): restart router, factory reset router, turn off toredo filter, give Xbox Internet priority, set ALL ports the Xbox could possibly use stated by Microsoft official NAT help post, give Xbox privilege to set ports on itself

I think I'm literally just doomed am I? I don't want to believe that this could be a hardware caused issue. Again, thank you so much for your help! I need to get this to work before sparking zero 😟🙏🏻

@severe wedge Thanks for posting! Please remember, support here is volunteer-based and not official. Be patient after posting, and don’t spam or ask in other channels.
If your issue is about accounts, billing, contact Xbox Support directly.
If your issue is related to an Enforcement action, no one here can help.

To help us help you, make sure to answer:

  • What did you try to do and what happened? (Be specific—mention your Xbox model, PC version, Insider ring, or anything relevant.)
  • **What have you tried to do to fix it already? **(List everything you’ve done to fix it.)

Have you replaced the ethernet cable or try that cable on the other xbox?

#

other wise that does show that its a hardware issue with the console that would need too be repaired.

I would try a differnt cable if that does not help then you done the troubleshooting you can and that would show a hardware issue

#

well things break it happens and yes thats about right if the console isnt in warranty

if it is also doing it over wifi, i'd also try borrowing a new router

its unlikey to be the router if you have a other xbox with out the issue.

F.. might as well just buy a whole new console rather than send this in for repair..

#

But I don't have the money right now and I need it to be fixed within the next 5-7 days :/ I know it's unlikely but if you have any further idea how I can get it to work, the smallest glimpse of hope, I'll try it

New Xbox series x is ordered. I'm already preparing for it to have the same issues honestly . Idk why. think I'll cry if that happens lol.

Anyhow, can you tell me how to set my routers settings lastly? Should I again set all 10 of so ports individually or try it by just giving the Xbox the ability to set the ports by itself? And give it Internet priority or so. I don't know why I'm so insecure about all that now, I've never been like that lol. I just need to get it right the first time, Sparking Zero is too big for me to fail now because of stupid disconnections

You should not need to set anything manually.
