Xbox one S overheating when it isnt?

It says my Xbox One S that I bought from gamestop brand new is overheating but when I feel it it isnt when I turn it on and play a game for a bit I get that Ventilation issues screen

Take it back and have them give you a working one

Make sure positioned correctly and the vents are not covered or blocked

If it had proper air flow and it is not hot and you are repeatedly getting overheating warning then something is wrong with it and if you literally just bought it you should have them give you a working one
