I changed my gamertag a few weeks ago, but when I'm in the game, my previous name appears in my information. I tried to search for how to change my Xbox Network name, but it only shows gamertag. Is it the same thing? If so, then why does the previous username still appear? Can someone answer me? It's a bit urgent since it's causing some misunderstandings.

If you are still seeing th old gamer tag weeks later something isn’t right
If you’re playing an old back compat game and your new name isn’t compatible you might be seeing the legacy / classic / whatever tag

I changed the gamertag weeks ago, what I put appears, but for some reason, it still appears in all my games in the info the previous name: xbox network: (name)7989 😭

There are settings "Who can see your real name", if I enable this for everyone to see, will they see my gamertag or name on the xbox network?
