Elite Series 2 Charging

My Elite series 2 controller does not wanna charge, yes its the controller not the cord, i turn it on, and it shuts off right after.

Ive tried reconnecting the controller, blowing in the charging thing to clear dirt, and ive search on google but the only thing that shows is that if its dirty or something in the circuit, which i do not have the tools to fix.

Once it turns on, it does stay on with the charger

Are you charging it from a phoine charger, a computer usb port, your xbox usb port?

I was using it from my xbox for a while, but recently, the controller would start freezing if it was plugged into my xbox, so i switch to a wall plug.
