i bought a 5TB storage thing but when i try downloading something it says clear space on internal storage. how do i make it so stuff downloads on the 5tb storage thing and if so am i gonna be able to play games off it?

For xb1 or older games only. U could store optimized series games but cant play it off the storage drive
The 5tb storage is not fast enough for series games
Only a series x/s expansion card could store and play optimized series game on the card

A portable hard drive like the official xbox game drive can store and play any xb1 or older on the drive. It is not fast enough for games that is for series only
Mechanical hard drives is very slower compared to series x internal drive or the expansion card

Just get a 1tb or 2tb hdd for 50 usd or something. I use external drive to store xb1 or older games on it. No xb1 or older games is stored on internal
