Hi, can anyone kindly help me out with the following issue?
So me and my brother both live together in same house and he shares his game library and I share my game pass but now I am unable to play games offline, it says that to play games offline, make your xbox as your home xbox, it started happening recently and it didn't happen before + I am facing this issue with game pass games only, please help me, I will be very thankful.

Do you both use the same console, or are you using different consoles?

If you are using separate consoles and you set his console as the Home for your account, then that's the reason for this.

To play offline, you need to be using the home console for your account.

But if I will set my xbox as home xbox then the family share won't work I guess

You can't share your games/Game Pass with another person on a different console and then play offline on your console.

But it used to work fine some days ago, was it covered in a recent update?

It has never worked that way before.

You have always needed to be using the home console in order to play offline. At least in all the 8 years I've been on Xbox.

I didn't say you were lying, you're just mistaken with how things worked. It is not a recent change.

My internet connection was gone for a whole week and I still was able to play my installed game pass games on my console

Well, you need to be online to play stuff if you're not using the Home console. Simple as that.
