Games won’t connect to wifi

Soooo my Xbox did this weird thing where it wouldn’t fully update the console which lead to me having to reset to factory conditions but I chose to keep all my installed games or whatever. So I get signed back in and set my Xbox up but now none of my online games will connect to the internet. The Xbox is connected because I can still join parties and listen to Spotify but the games just won’t connect. They never let me past the loading screen and say “Connection failure” or something like that. I thought maybe I needed to reinstall my games but I’ve done that and it didn’t change anything. I can sometimes manage to get them to work by restarting the console over and over and spamming the play button on the menu until it just lets me in but it’s very unreliable. I just don’t know what to do.

it’s a bug introduced with the august update. factory resetting your xbox causes you to be inable to play multiplayer across all games afterwards

Mannnn that really sucks because it literally forced me to factory reset the thing, I had literally never done that before lmao. Is there a way to fix it or do they plan on fixing it or anything?

as of now there is no way to fix it. we have to wait on microsoft to roll out a fix hopefully through a system update over the next few days
