I brought a USB 3.0 SCSI Disk Drive last week to record longer game clips so that recording will be easier for my YouTube channel. However even after formatting this usb to NTFS it still won't recognise the device as eligible. Any help would be massively appreciated

When I select it as capture location it comes up with the message

#

'Try a different device'
To capture game clips and screenshots externally, storage must be USB 3.0 or faster. This device is too slow. (0x80bd003b)

My usb is 3.0 and has 499gb of storage spare so I don't understand what other requirements I need for it to work

Just because it has a usb 3 port doesn’t mean the drive itself is fast enough,
Do you have a link to what you actually bought? I’m suspicious that you typed it was a scsi drive…

That’s a flash drive or memory stick, not a hard drive.

Those are usually not going to be fast enough

In US currency you should be able to find a usb 3 SSD around 256 gigs for under $25 or a 512 gig one for under $50

it would be be faster than a usb 3.0 hdd, yes.
