#Can I connect multiple wired Xbox Controllers to my Console? (Xbox 1S)

My 1S has only 1 USB port on the front, but has a couple more on the back. I was thinking it might be possible to connect more wired controllers using the ports on the back, but from searching things up it doesn't seem like that's possible.

Do I need some kind of adapter or USB hub in order to do this? Would having these mean that the controllers might have significantly more input lag?

Other questions like: Is amount of power coming to the controllers a concern, or whether there'd be any conflicts also come to mind.

Thanks,
Kav
