im using the ps5 pulse headset on my xbox series x and i can hear the audio fine but im unable to use the microphone can anyone help

Be specific. If your issue is with an Xbox console, please include which model and what your OS version is, as well as if you are in an Xbox Insider Program ring. If your issue is on PC, please include relevant versions (Windows version, any version information for specific apps in question, etc).

If so, what results have you seen and tried?

Make sure the mute button on the left side of your headset is not clicked in.
Also make sure that mics on your Xbox are enabled: Hit the Xbox button, go down to the speaker symbol and it will be the first option.

that headset is for PS5 and PC it isn't going to work correctly on a xbox

It does work on Xbox using the AUX cable it came with. You can just plug one end in the headset and the other end in the controller.
It just won't work through the USB Dongle it came with, so no wireless on Xbox for this specific headset.
