#My controller has a very weird type of stick drift

I was playing a game when I noticed I had terrible stick drift, and I used a gamepad tester and I saw it was really off, even though the thumbstick was in the complete middle. When I took apart my controller to look at the stick under the thumbstick that you actually use, I moved it around whilst using the gamepad tester. I moved the small stick around. At a point where it was in the EXACT middle the gamepad tester showed the stick off by -0.6 on the up and down axis. It seems that if I barely tap the thumbstick downwards just a teeny bit, the input goes back to the middle. Also this controller is about 7 months old and it happened almost instantly, like the previous day, no stick drift, next day, A LOT of stick drift. Can someone please help me figure out how to fix this. Its really weird.
