#unable to sign in + multiplayer issues + game ownership issues + store issues?

two problems here:

  1. i can’t sign in to my microsoft account, both on my xbox one s and my pc. on the xbox i get an error code saying ‘try again later’ and on my pc the microsoft site blanks and says ‘too many requests’. i’ve tried resetting my xbox (factory reset, keep games) and clearing my caches and history on pc, but still no luck. on xbox i’m able to sign in to a side account, though still no dice on signing in on pc. it’s the same error message.

  2. using my side account, i tried to open minecraft to play a little. however, i couldn’t create a world and there was a yellow error message saying ‘multiplayer needs to be enabled’ (paraphrasing). i checked my account details, and all my settings are set to allow, and my account is not a child account (19+). i have no idea how to fix this or why this is happening. is it a possibility that i need to get the xbox gamepass for this to go away? if so that is incredibly disappointing. what happened to old reliable minecraft?

  3. after factory resetting, xbox suddenly seems to not be able to detect whether or not i own minecraft. i do, i’m 100% certain of this, since i bought my console with minecraft pre-installed in 2019. i assume it may have something to do with being linked to a different account, my main account, which normally wouldn’t be an issue but again, i can’t sign in to that account. i’d hate to buy minecraft again, and honestly, i don’t even know if i can (my region is actually malaysia, but for some mind-boggling reason microsoft is still insistent on recognising only singapore on the xbox store). i’d genuinely be quite sad if i’d have to part ways with minecraft because of this after it has served me well with no issues for years.

  4. nothing in the store is loading. except, conveniently, the game pass. i’m 100% certain it is not a network issue, i’ve checked my network over and over and it is working perfectly fine.

essentially, i’m stuck in a loop of not being able to do anything with my xbox for now. any and all help will be greatly appreciated. i’m so close to cutting my losses and selling this console.
