Basically my mom put parental restrictions on my Xbox one S so I couldn't play mature games. Yesterday I decided to buy myself rdr2 as a birthday treat for myself, but I'm not sure if I have to ask my mom to remove the restrictions or if mature restrictions are removed automatically since the Xbox knows I'm an adult. (Like before I couldn't upload a custom pfp for my xbox account, since I had to be 18, but recently I was able to change it, so I'm assuming the Xbox knows I'm 18) Thank you very much

Strange Question! If your mother knows your 18 years old then ask her to set the restrictions back!
If restrictions are on then the Xbox doesn’t switch it off when you turned 18!

When you turn 18 your account automatically gets converted to an adult account and most of the age/content restrictions should automatically get deactivated.
There might still be purchase limit controls or maybe even time limit controls if your parent set those up though. They’ll have to turn them off themselves.
