i have a microsoft account balance of 29.17$ and trying to renew my pc game pass but when i try to pay for it, it says my balance is 0.00$ do i have to use a card for it to work?
mine you my card gets rejected every time i try to pay with it and microsoft wont accept it

If your issue is regarding an account/billing issue, you will need to reach out to Xbox Support directly.

Be specific. If your issue is with an Xbox console, please include which model and what your OS version is, as well as if you are in an Xbox Insider Program ring. If your issue is on PC, please include relevant versions (Windows version, any version information for specific apps in question, etc).

  1. What troubleshooting have you tried?

Please list everything you have attempted.

  1. Have you searched #1091756150644555946 for anyone else with your issue or researched your issue on the internet?

If so, what results have you seen and tried?

Your account balance, was it from a gift card?

Also, do you have multiple accounts?

Is the gift card from your region?

If you redeem a Microsoft or Xbox gift card in a country that doesn't match the country associated with your billing account, you won't be able to use those funds. The funds in your Microsoft account can't be transferred after you redeem a Microsoft or Xbox gift card.

Seems you can but you need a valid payment card added to it as well

And if you're still having problems with adding the card, if it's happening on both xbox and steam, I think it'll be a problem with your bank

Are you making sure to use the correct dropdown when selecting which type of card it is?
