#Xbox 360 blocked from connecting to Xfinity Gateway

I recently set up my Xbox 360 and tried connecting it to my WiFi which is from an Xfi gateway. Whenever I do “Network Diagnostic” it shows that when connecting to the WiFi it just blocks it.

I’ve tried doing the manual set up in configure network though it doesn’t work, idk if I have to do port forwarding or something

Anyone know a good fix for this aside from plugging the Xbox into the router(the plug the connection is in is too far away and it’s the only one in my apartment)

Slim, had to figure that out rq sorry

The slim should have internet access built in, but you have said it is too far away, correct?

The router is currently in my kitchen with my Xbox being like ~15 feet away in my main room, I can’t connect an Ethernet or anything to it but wireless connection just gets blocked

is there a wall blocking your main room to your kitchen?

quick geyser
#

Yeah, the doorway is open from the room to the kitchen, now realizing I might need one of those network adapter things you plug into the back of these

Unofficial ones go for like 8 bucks, Official ones go for like 19 bucks

Fair, confused me as to why the network diagnostic said “blocked” instead of failed for internet, packages, and other stuff for that

#

That’s not bad, I’ll order one next time I get paid, see if that fixes it

Get a double antenna too, those are super fast and not gonna blind you unlike the older one.

Maybe it’s not connecting on 2.4 GHz network. Test with LAN to see if ISP is blocking. If it works, then know it’s the WiFi, and probably the having issues with 2.4 GHz.

are you trying to connect to 5g wifi? If so it will never connect you need a 2.4ghz network or use ethernet

5G and 5 GHz are not the same thing.
